1. Guided tour around funaya(boat houses) and “mondori” experience

Stroll around the streets of the funaya with a local guide. You can listen to the guide`s talks related the funaya, and about experiences of daily life that only someone living in this town knows. During the tour, you visit the inside of the funaya, and can see their unique construction in real life. By listening to the guide`s talks based on the daily lifestyle that you cannot know just by viewing from the outside, we hope that you will come to like the town of Ine even more. In addition, you can also experience the special Ine fishing method “mondori” which is performed regularly in this region. In the single sake distillery in Ine Mukai distillery, you can taste Japanese sake made with the shining sense of the female distiller.
There is also English interpretation available, so you can participate with peace of mind.

2. Ropework and “bindama(Glass ball) knitting experience by fisherman’s lecture

Bindama is a buoy used in the fishing industry 70-80 years ago, and is also called a floating ball or glass ball. By the guidance of our fisherman, you will use Amivari (A professional fishing net repairing tool) and a rope to knit the glass float net. After the experience, you can keep the finished Bindama.

3. Sashimi making experience

You can learn how to make shashmi from local fresh fish caught on the day.
A landmark that supports Ine’s dining table.
Fishing, which is a key industry in Ine Town, is conducted at five fishing ports, including Ine, Nii and Kamanyu.
Large variety of fixed net fishing, individual aquaculture, longline fishing, gill net fishing, and many more.
The town will be quite lively when the fishing boats come back to Ine Fishing Port from fishing in the morning.
Then,fidhermans broadcast about their return to the port to residents and they will gather at the fishing port.
Thanks to this system, Ine does not need a fish store.
A special experience only here at Ine town.
This time a new experience has released in which you can learn how to make sashimi using freshly caught fish on the day.
For those who participate in this experience, we will prepare seasonal fish caught on the day and local chef teach you how to make sashimi.
Please come to taste the season of Ine.
